Eligibility and Application Form below

The Byron Krieger Memorial Athletic Scholarship is for college-bound seniors and current college students who exemplify the values of kindness, humility, sportsmanship, education, and Jewish pride.
In June 2013, I wasn’t sure what to give my dad for Father’s Day. At his age, he didn’t need any more ties!  Instead, I decided to write him a letter of gratitude for his years of love, support, and life lessons. I ended the letter with the following:

I would like to give you a gift of posterity.  I would like you to know, while in the present, a plan I have for the future.  One day, I hope to establish the Byron Krieger Athletic Scholarship.  It will be given annually to a promising Jewish student athlete, who shows exemplary character, commitment to Judaism, and kindness--all traits that you have. May you live to one hundred and twenty. Happy Father’s Day!

The gift meant a great deal to my father and he told me so.

Now the gift continues.
         --Evelyn Krieger
